- **Event Description**: British Council Koleksiyonu’ndan 29 sanatçının yapıtlarını bir araya getiren Ortak Duygular, 1930’lardan bu yana oluşturulan ve yaklaşık 9000 eserden oluşan bu koleksiyonu güncel ve spekülatif bir yaklaşımla ele alıyor. Sergi, koleksiyon ve kurumların yalnızca geçmişini korumakla kalmayıp, günümüzün toplumsal ve politik dinamikleriyle güçlü ilişkiler kurma potansiyeline odaklanıyor.

Küratörlüğünü UIya Soley’in üstlendiği ve “Özeni Korumak”, “Tanıdık Yüzler” ve “Hayali Gelecek” başlıklı üç bölümden oluşan sergi, geleceğe dair belirsizlikler ve dönüşümler içinde, ortak duyguların paylaşıldığı bir alan oluşturmaya çalışırken, kurumsal koleksiyon politikaları, sanat aracılığıyla bir araya gelen topluluklar ile sanat kurumlarının ve koleksiyonların geleceği üzerine düşünmeye davet ediyor.

Sergi kapsamında düzenlenecek turda, ziyaretçiler küratör Ulya Soley rehberliğinde British Council Koleksiyonu'ndan seçilen yapıtları keşfederek sergiyi kapsamlı bir şekilde değerlendirme fırsatı bulacak.

Bringing together works by 29 artists from the British Council Collection, Feelings in Common tackles this collection, which has been acquiring works since the 1930s and comprising more than 9000 works, from a contemporary and speculative perspective. The exhibition focuses not only on the task of collections and institutions to preserve and protect the past, but also on their potential to establish strong links with today’s social and political dynamics.

Curated by Ulya Soley and comprised of three chapters titled “Preserving Care”, “Familiar Faces”, and “Future Perfect”, the exhibition strives to form a space where feelings in common are shared amidst uncertainties and transformations regarding the future, while inviting to contemplate institutional collection policies, communities that come together through art and the future of art institutions and their collections. 

In the guided tours organized within the scope of the exhibition, the visitors will have the chance to explore the works selected from the British Council Collection and evaluate the exhibition from a comprehensive perspective along with exhibition curator Ulya Soley.

Guided tour fee: 200 TL (Free of charge for Pera Museum Friendship Program members)

The tour will be held in Turkish. Capacity is limited; tickets can be purchased from Biletix or from the Pera Museum reception on the day of the event.
